May 23, 2009, was an evening that 19 Texas City High School girls may remember for some time: not only because it was prom night, but also because of the makeovers they received courtesy of Cosmetology students and instructors at Remington College – Houston Southeast Campus.
These 19 young women were selected by their high school counselors based on need and were treated to services such as hair styling, manicures, and makeup at no charge at “The Salon at Remington.”
“This was our third prom night event this year,” said Campus President Robert Doty. “And the smiles on those young women’s faces made it all worthwhile.”
Remington College’s Cosmetology Program teaches students the art of hair, skin, and nail care through traditional classroom instruction and hands-on training in “The Salon at Remington.” There, students practice their craft with real clients under the supervision of professional instructors.
