    Diploma program offers Rx to help prepare you for a new career

    Lafayette, LA - (October 27, 2009) - Remington College - Lafayette Campus is enrolling students for its new Pharmacy Technician program. The Pharmacy Technician program is designed to teach students the basic skills needed for their certification exam and to begin a career as a pharmacy technician.*

    The diploma program curriculum includes classes in pharmacology, anatomy and physiology, dosage calculation and more, all designed to give students the skills they need to apply for entry-level jobs.

    Students meeting minimum grade requirements can qualify for an externship that allows them to work with licensed pharmacists.

    'The Pharmacy Technician program is a great option for students who want to help prepare themselves for one of the fastest-growing career fields,' said Jo Ann Boudreaux, Remington College-Lafayette Campus President.

    According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of pharmacy technicians is expected to increase by 32% from 2006 to 2016.

    Remington College-Lafayette Campus offers several degree and diploma programs. Diploma programs include Cosmetology, Electronic Technology, Medical Assisting and Medical Billing and Coding and degree programs include Business Office Management, Computer and Network Administration and Criminal Justice.
