Many Graphic Design Career Opportunities with Digital Graphic Art Degree
Graduates often pursue careers as graphic designers, productions artists, website designers, or desktop publishers. Graphic arts graduates may decide to work in a design agency environment or open their own graphic design business. In fact, more than 25 percent of graphic designers are self-employed, meaning freelance opportunities are often a viable option for graduates in this field. (1)
Graphic designers are essential members of a creative team. Designers implement an artistic strategy to create a tangible end-product for clients. Many times, this will begin with an idea that the designer sketches out. From there, the designer will use specialized computer programs to execute his or her idea in a more comprehensive digital format. These concepts can range from product design and ad layouts to company newsletters, websites and web design.
