    Our program leaders keep in touch with local employers to make sure our program stays relevant in today’s changing business market. We strive to provide office management students and graduates with a well-rounded mix of the core technical and personal skills training that is essential for success in today’s fast-paced business market.(1)

    A variety of guest speakers have given our students valuable insights to the real world of business management, including representatives from COX Cable, Chase Bank, and several local companies.

    Our students have taken part in job fairs both on- and off-Campus. In addition, our Baton Rouge college’s chapter of the Alpha Beta Kappa honor society offers our business students incentive to excel and earn membership in this group, which acknowledges exceptional performers.

    Up-to-Date Curriculum and Industry-Standard Equipment

    Currently, four classrooms are dedicated to the Business Office Management degree program, including a computer lab and classrooms that are equipped with contemporary business software.

    Our business management courses focus on:

    • Basic and advanced Microsoft Office 2010 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
    • Business law and legal procedures.
    • Business payroll administration and applications.
    • Microsoft automated accounting software/basic bookkeeping principles.
