    As a student in our Memphis Business Office Management program, you are taught to solve problems through case studies, discussion, and team effort. You’re shown how to research issues, examine strategies, and make sound decisions, and you get to follow your choices through to completion and see the results.

    Memphis Business Degree Program: On- and Off-Campus Events

    On-Campus student networking events include:

    • A Business Expo, held three times a year, where students develop a mock business and put their creative, management, accounting, analysis, and customer support skills to the test.
    • A Phi Beta Lambda future business leaders’ chapter.
    • A mentoring program for students inducted into the Alpha Beta Kappa national honor society.

    Some off-Campus student learning opportunities include:

    • Field trips to nearby Southland Mall to help our students understand how to buy on a budget, wear the proper makeup, dress appropriately, and care for their clothes and skin as they prepare for job interviews.
    • Business meetings with set agendas to debrief about events after they happen and learn from those experiences.

    Our students get to hear from a variety of businesspeople who are out there doing the job. Some of our Memphis business degree speakers have included:

    • A McDonald’s franchisee.
    • An independent insurance agent.
    • Representatives from Robert Half (Account Temps).
    • Representatives from AFLAC.
    • Other speakers from industries as diverse as banking and entertainment.
