Remington College-Cleveland West Campus will provide complimentary “Toothprint” services and toothpaste to attendees at the El Centro Health Fair in Lorain in September, 2011. Students in the Remington College Dental Assisting Program will provide the complimentary services. The Toothprint is a special child identification device that records both bite characteristics and DNA information. Parents receive a wafer with the information imprinted on it. The Toothprint procedure takes only a few minutes and children as young as 3-4 years of age are usually able to provide an acceptable imprint. “We’re proud to partner with El Centro and contribute the services of our Dental Assisting Program for this great community event,” said Jessica Cartagena, Community Outreach Representative for Remington College-Cleveland West Campus. El Centro is a Hispanic-Latino non-profit advocacy organization whose mission is to enhance the socio-economic status of the greater Lorain County community by providing essential social, educational, cultural and community development services.
