Remington College Announces Start of Classes at its new Columbia Campus Registration is now underway Columbia, S.C. – April, 6, 2009 - Remington College is now registering students for classes at its new Columbia Campus. Classes are expected to begin on May 26th. Remington College-Columbia Campus is located at 601 Bush River Rd. Remington College spent $2.6 million to turn a former Office Max building into a modern campus. Remington College- Columbia Campus is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools (ACCSC), which is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a nationally recognized accrediting agency. “We’re excited about bringing a new option in education to students and working adults in the Columbia area,” said Toby Hayes, Campus President. “Our goal is to provide people with the training they need to help prepare them for a career that they want.” Classes are available during the day and night (select programs), allowing flexibility for people juggling work, school and family. On the Columbia campus, initial offerings will include programs in Medical Insurance and Coding, Medical Assisting and Cosmetology. Medical Insurance and Coding and Medical Assisting are both diploma programs designed to help prepare students for entry-level positions in the growing health care field. Cosmetology is a 12-month diploma program that includes instruction in a traditional classroom setting as well as hands-on experience in “The Salon at Remington”, which allows students to work with real clients.
