Memphis Information Technology Instructor Team with Computer Networking Expertise
The Memphis computer training program at Remington College combines current education and hands-on training with an “in-field” sensibility. Faculty members’ educational backgrounds and certifications include:
- An AOS degree in Computer Information Systems and certifications in MS Vista, Windows 7 Configuration, and A+.
- A master’s degree in Public Administration and certifications in MCSE and A+.
- An MS in Business Administration concurrent with an MIS and a BSET in Computer Engineering Technology, along with certifications in MCDST, Windows 7 Configuration, Vista, Net+, and A+.

Key Working Relationship with Flextronics
Our Memphis computer training school also has a key working relationship with Flextronics, a globally recognized Fortune 500 company based in Memphis that designs, builds, ships, and services electronic products for customers worldwide.
Through Global Services Safety Manager Blanchard Winbush, Flextronics has periodically taken several of our successful Memphis computer networking school graduates through a training process called the Flextronics Interview Preparation Program (IPP), developed specifically for Remington College graduates.
The IPP prepares our Memphis computer networking graduates for their on-site testing and interview at Flextronics. Mr. Winbush continues to work with our graduates because he appreciates the training and skills they have acquired while attending Remington College.
Computer Training Equipment, Resources, and Support at Our Memphis IT School
The 40 computers available to our Memphis Computer Network and Administration students enable them to gain experience with a variety of software operating systems and applications.
Computer technician students train on software and operating systems including:
- Windows 2007.
- A variety of Microsoft Office 2007 applications.
- Server 2003 and 2008.
Our computer technician students conduct lab projects on hardware including:
- CISCO routers, switches, and servers.
- Dell and Lenovo desktop PCs.
- ACER-Veriton mini-desktops.
Virtual PC software also allows students in our Memphis computer networking school to conduct lab projects on Campus or at home. Students learn to work in a virtual environment that offers opportunities to advance their network implementation skills.
Online Microsoft resources also help our students prepare for their first attempt at up to five Microsoft certification exams, offered at no extra cost, by using practice test banks.
