  • Network Administrator Courses Offer Additional Certifications

    As a certified Microsoft IT Academy, Remington College offers several courses in our Computer and Network Administration degree program that are tied to specialized Microsoft certifications.

    As you complete these courses, you are eligible to take the certification exams – and Remington College will pay for each first attempt.

  • Earn a Computer Networking-Focused Degree and Key Network Administrator Certifications

    Graduation from our Computer and Network Administration program could bring more than just an associate’s degree; you could potentially earn up to five Microsoft certifications, plus two additional CompTIA A+ certifications.

    Listed on on your résumé, these certifications demonstrate your proven knowledge and experience for entry-level IT positions, which in turn may offer you a competitive advantage in the job market.(1)

    Microsoft Certification Courses:

    CN1176: Computer Support

    This course teaches the technical skills required to support end users who use Microsoft Windows and Office technologies. Specific skills range from installing and updating Windows to troubleshooting issues.

    After successful completion of this course, students will be eligible to take Exam 70-680, Windows 7 Configuration.  

    CN1260: Client Operating Systems

    This course covers the knowledge required to install, configure, and manage Microsoft Windows technologies. In addition, the course covers topics like disaster recovery planning and performance analysis.

    After successful completion of this course, students will be eligible to take Exam 70-685, Windows 7 Enterprise Desktop Support Technician. 

    CN1276: Network Implementation and Support I (Active Directory)

    This course focuses on installing, configuring, and implementing Active Directory Domain Services in Microsoft Windows Server 2008 environments.

    After successful completion of this course, students will be eligible to take Exam 70-640, Windows Server 2008 Active Directory. 

    CN2140: Network Implementation and Support II (Infrastructure)

    This course covers the skills required to install, configure, administer, and support the Microsoft Windows Server Operating System (OS) in a network environment.

    After successful completion of this course, students will be eligible to take Exam 70-642, Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure. 

    CN2176: Network Implementation and Support III (Administration)

    This course addresses the skills needed to administer and manage a modern Windows Server 2008 network, from planning and deployment to troubleshooting and support.

    After successful completion of the course, students will be eligible to take Exam 70-646, Windows Server 2008 Administrator.
