If you’re wondering whether online learning is right for you, Remington College offers a two-week orientation course to help you decide. During this orientation, you can familiarize yourself with the online learning environment and all of the online resources available to you. User Platform

Remington College uses Moodle as its online user platform. You’ll be given a password-protected, secure online personal account. And you can log on anytime and anywhere you have access to a computer and the Internet. The main page contains links to course lectures, which you can replay as often as you like. It also provides a course syllabus, assignment information and due dates, links on support services and computer requirements, a school calendar, and a resource center, where you can access policy/procedure information and tutorials. You’ll submit your assignments and take your tests and exams online.

Interactivity and Support

If you think you may feel a bit isolated as an online student, consider this: Through the Moodle platform, you’ll have unlimited opportunities to talk with your instructors and other students via a discussion forum and user community links. Remington College will also email and telephone you regularly to assess your needs and generally promote an environment where individual attention and service are integral. And whenever you need technical support, Remington College is there for you with 24-hour online support via a toll-free number.

Learning Resources

• Through the ebrary learning resource, you can create a personal bookshelf, add research sources and tools, and view them all via the ebrary viewer.

• Through the InfoTrac learning resource, you’ll have access to a database of more than 75 million articles from various publications. You can easily highlight, bookmark, and download these files whenever you need them.
