Blood Drive Dallas Fort Worth September 2011
Blood – it may all be red, but it’s definitely not all the same. That’s why Remington College is continuing its series of blood drives to recruit more minority blood donors to benefit local residents who need specific types of blood as part of their treatment for sickle cell disease and other blood disorders.

this summer. Students in Remington College
cosmetology programs across the country will provide complimentary back-to-school
haircuts for kids ages 17 and under.

Far East meets West at Remington College – Dallas Campus, for Insights on Career Education
On November 2, 2009, three members of the leadership team from
Remington College – Dallas Campus met with university officials from
China and the Chinese Ministry of Education for an afternoon of
dialogue about several aspects of post-secondary education in the
United States. The group was accompanied by Katherine Forshay, a
Program Officer at the New York-based National Committee on U.S.-China
Relations, and an interpreter.

Giving Back: “Cuts for Kids” a Success at All Nine Participating Campuses
Congratulations to all of the Remington College campuses
participating in our August 2009 “Cuts for Kids” promotion, which
offered haircuts at no cost to children aged 17 and under, along with
cuts, shampoos, styles, hair coloring, and other services to adults at
half the regular price.

Program Perspectives – From Executive Chef Robert C. Bifulco, Culinary Arts Program Chair
Chef Bifulco, who has been with Remington College for almost five years, helped to create the program curriculum and designed the
Campus restaurant-lab facility, called “Beginnings.” A hospitality industry professional with more than 40 years of experience, Chef Bifulco holds hotel management degrees from the University of Denver (CO) and Paul Smith’s College (NY). His experience includes tenures as the executive chef for a major worldwide hotel chain and as the general manager of a private club. He is also a master ice sculptor and has achieved national and international recognition for his creations.
Formerly a director of the Dallas Chapter of the Texas Chefs Association, Chef Bifulco has been the recipient of numerous hospitality awards as part of that group, including the chapter’s award for Chef of the Year. He is also the two-time recipient of an award for excellence and innovation in post-secondary culinary education by the Center for the Advancement of Foodservice Education (CAFE), in 2007 and 2009.

Remington College - Dallas Campus Signs Articulation Agreement with Texas A&M University-Commerce
Remington College - Dallas Campus and Texas A&M University-Commerce signed an articulation agreement this week that paves the way for Remington College graduates to continue their studies at A&M-Commerce.
The agreement provides that A& M Commerce will accept the academic course work of Remington College- Dallas Campus students who meet general admission requirements.

Remington College - Dallas Campus to Hold Open House
Dallas, TX – (July 31, 2009) – Remington College-Dallas Campus will hold an open house on August 8th to allow community members to see what the campus has to offer.
From 10 am to 2 pm, the public can tour the campus, meet instructors, view hands-on demonstrations and learn more about financial aid available for those who qualify.

Sweet Win for Our Dallas Pastry Arts School at ChocolateFest
A group of 22 students crafted the desserts at our own Remington
College Dallas Culinary and Pastry Arts facilities. From there, the two
Chef Instructors carefully transported the items to the Palace Arts
Center, in Downtown Grapevine. They, along with five Pastry Arts
students, set up a booth and presented the decadent morsels on
decorative platters for guests and judges to enjoy.
