    Remington College - Dallas Campus Medical Assistant Program Overview

    Students will begin learning laboratory basics on the first day of their first module. In their labs, they learn specific skills and practice those skills on each other, taking turns as patients and clinical assistants. Course work includes an introduction to pharmacology, phlebotomy training and patient care.   

    Students at our Medical Assistant school in Dallas will learn a variety of clinical procedures such as blood draws and injections, CPR, general healthcare exam procedures, and much more.(2)

    Medical Assistant Training

    Medical equipment that our students train with includes:

    • Blood pressure monitors.
    • Stethoscopes and microscopes.
    • Ophthalmoscopes and otoscopes.
    • Syringes and catheters.
    • Oxygen tanks and masks.
    • Glucometers, hemoglobin meters, and cholesterol meters.
    • Cast-making equipment.

    At the end of the program, a month-long externship allows students a chance to learn the job in the field.(3)

    Dallas Medical Assistant Certification

    Included in the cost of tuition is the first attempt of the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam. (4,5)

    Medical Assisting program graduates may also be eligible for other certification and licensure opportunities.
