Back to school means shopping for pencils, pens, paper and other necessities. Parents in the Nashville area can add complimentary teeth cleanings and toothprints to their back to school list, thanks to Remington College-Nashville Campus.
The campus Dental Hygiene Program is offering complimentary teeth cleanings and ToothPrint identification for children throughout the month of August. The effort is part of the “12 Months of Smiles” campaign, an effort to provide low-cost dental services to people in the Nashville area.
The Toothprint is a special child identification device that records both bite characteristics and DNA information. Parents receive a wafer with the information imprinted on it. The procedure takes only a few minutes and children as young as 3-4 years of age are usually able to provide an acceptable imprint.
“Now is a great time for parents to have their children’s teeth cleaned and get a ToothPrint,” said Larry Collins, Remington College-Nashville Campus President. “It’s a convenient time before kids go back to school and gives parents some peace of mind.”
