Remington College has a bunch of fans in Fort Worth!

That was literally the case in June of this year, when the Campus held a two-week drive to collect portable fans and contributions for local citizens and families in need. The drive was held in partnership with Meals on Wheels of Tarrant County, and new fans and cash donations were accepted.

To help solicit donations, our college in Fort Worth held two "Help Beat the Heat" ice cream fundraisers. The Campus raised a total of $396.30 in ice cream sales, with the funds going toward the purchase of new fans.

On June 22, Meals on Wheels Marketing Director Denise Harris, along with Program Representative Evan Collins, arrived at Remington College to collect a total of 56 fans.

The fans were distributed to households with infants and young children, pregnant mothers, and elderly or disabled citizens. "The cascade of support was uplifting, and I'm just glad I could help," said Fort Worth Admissions Representative Linda Morrow.

"We are so excited to have the participation of Remington College and its students! It's really important to stay cool this summer, and these fans will be the only source of air conditioning for some of our members," said Ms. Harris.
