  • Students Are Dressing for Success at Remington College – Fort Worth Campus

    Day, afternoon, and evening students are encouraged to participate in our Fort Worth Campus’s Dress for Success events, which take place each quarter at the Campus. These events are designed to help our students increase their awareness of how they present themselves to future employers.

    Participating students have two professional-quality pictures taken, each with a different background. Students receive a copy of both pictures, and the photos are proudly displayed throughout the school to encourage students to prepare for their future careers.

    Campus President Gregg Falcon said, “This is a great opportunity for our students to dress as if they are headed to an interview and for our Career Services Department to see some of our future graduates.”

    At the most recent event, held on February 22, 2011, Ft. Worth Dental Assisting student Stephanie Crawford said, “Dressing up makes me feel good about myself, and I feel professional, confident, and ready for that job interview!”

    Medical Billing and Coding student Leticia Castaneda added, “This event is good practice for your next job interview. Our teacher, Ms. King, always dresses up with us, and she helps by explaining the types of dress, like business casual and professional.”

    Medical Assisting/X-Ray Tech Instructor J.D. Ham noted, “I always feel that this is an important event for our students, and it helps build their self-esteem. Simply put, this is basic pride in how you look, which is an important factor in the eyes of prospective employers.”
