Practical Criminal Justice Training in the Fort Worth Area

Our criminal justice curriculum is enhanced by guest speakers who visit from the local criminal justice community to help bring theory to life. Speakers come from organizations such as:

    • Fort Worth Police Department SWAT team
    • K9 Patrol
    • Mounted Patrol
    • Air Support

Meanwhile, field trips to local destinations like the Geo Group (a minimum security prison), the Fort Worth 911 Call Center and the Keller Fire Department enable our students to see the principles of criminal justice in action.

Appropriate to “The City of Cowboys and Culture,” the Campus designed the Fort Worth Criminal Justice program to allow students to be active participants in their education. You’ll have the opportunity to get hands-on experience in our forensics lab, court room, crime scene room and combined lecture halls.

For example, as you study coursework in criminology, criminal prosecution and trials, and inmate control, you’ll also study fingerprint analysis, blood spatter detection, and participate in mock trials.
