Fort Worth's Western Hills Elementary wins Remington College 2011 "Adopt Our School" Vote School wins $2,000 in school supplies from Remington College. The votes are in and Western Hills Elementary School will receive $2,000 worth of school supplies from Remington College-Fort Worth Campus. Western Hills Elementary School received the most votes in Remington College's Adopt Our School program, an effort by Remington College to assist local public schools with up to $2,000 worth of school supplies. The winning school was chosen by the public through Facebook and text message voting. The staff at Western Hills Elementary has requested classroom supplies and will receive more than 800 spiral notebooks, 285 packs of notebook paper and 8,000 pencils. The donation comes at a time when Texas public schools are facing billions of dollars of cuts in state funding. The school supplies will be delivered to the school on Monday, April 18th at 10:00 a.m. The school is located at 2805 Laredo Drive in Fort Worth. Media are invited to cover the event. The goal of the program is to help out public schools in Remington College campus communities at a time when school budgets are very tight. "We congratulate Western Hills Elementary and are thrilled to be able to provide them with such a variety of school supplies," said Gregg Falcon, Remington College - Fort Worth Campus President. "We know all public schools are struggling with their budgets and we're happy to be able to help out one of our local schools with some much-needed educational materials."
