At Remington College, we put a premium on making sure we have modern facilities and well-equipped classrooms and labs, and we know that it is a struggle for many public schools in our campus communities. That's why Remington College donated $2,000 in school supplies to one public school in each area we have a campus. The votes are in and Western Hill Elementary School in Fort Worth will receive a school supply donation from Remington College - Fort Worth Campus worth nearly $2,000.
Western Hill Elementary School received the most votes in Remington College’s Adopt Our School program for the Fort Worth area, an effort by Remington College to assist local public schools with up to $2,000 worth of school supplies.
The staff at Western Hill Elementary has requested basic school supplies, 800 spiral notebooks, 285 packs of notebook paper and 8,000 pencils. The supplies were presented to students and staff on April 18, 2011.
“We are very thankful to Remington College for providing us with the opportunity to participate in their program. Our students and teachers have been working extremely this year and these supplies will help us even more. Our students come to us with a desire to learn, but at times are unable to bring with them the tools from home that they may need. This program will help us meet those needs so they can come to school with no worries and just concentrate on learning. Thank you to our staff, families and community for voting for Western Hills Elementary. A huge thank you to Remington College for recognizing the needs of schools and providing such a positive solution for us.”
