    • Blood Drive Houston Campuses September 2011
      Blood – it may all be red, but it’s definitely not all the same. That’s why Remington College is continuing its series of blood drives to recruit more minority blood donors to benefit local residents who need specific types of blood as part of their treatment for sickle cell disease and other blood disorders.

    • Cuts for Kids has provided thousands of back-to-school haircuts
      Remington College is holding its third annual Cuts for Kids event this summer. Students in Remington College cosmetology programs across the country will provide complimentary back-to-school haircuts for kids ages 17 and under.
    • Houston West Campus Helps Student Recover Losses Due to Fire
      In early May 2011, Criminal Justice Degree student Dagur Galvan experienced a devastating blow. He and his wife, who was nine months pregnant, had to vacate their apartment in the middle of the night due to a fire that burned their entire unit, including several cars in the parking lot. The couple had just received most of their baby shower gifts, which were ruined in the fire, along with almost every belonging they shared....

    • Who We Are: Felton T. Young, CPhT, Job Development Specialist at Houston Campus
      As a Pharmacy Technician (PT) Job Development Specialist at Remington College – Houston Campus, Felton Young is dedicated to helping his students and graduates make an impact. As part of National Pharmacy Week in October 2009, Mr. Young arranged a morning visit to a local company, PharMEDium, and took seven PT students with him to learn how the business operates and to interview for job openings.
    • Remington College Receives National Partner of the Year Award from America’s Blood Centers
      Remington College has been selected as the first recipient of America’s Blood Centers’ National Partner of the Year Award.  The award, presented at ABC’s Awards of Excellence banquet on March 21, recognizes Remington College for its 3 Lives blood drive campaign, an effort to raise awareness of the need for minority blood donors, as well as collect blood on each Remington College campus. The program is called 3 Lives because three lives may be saved for every one pint of blood collected.

      Remington College sent more than 3,000 students back to school looking and feeling their best this summer. The career college provided complimentary back to school hair cuts at the thirteen Remington College campuses with cosmetology departments.

    • Giving Back: “Cuts for Kids” a Success at All Nine Participating Campuses
      Congratulations to all of the Remington College campuses participating in our August 2009 “Cuts for Kids” promotion, which offered haircuts at no cost to children aged 17 and under, along with cuts, shampoos, styles, hair coloring, and other services to adults at half the regular price.
    • Remington College - Houston Area Campuses to Hold Open House
      Houston, TX – (July 31, 2009) – Remington College-Houston Campus, Remington College-Houston Southeast Campus and Remington College- North Houston Campus will hold an open house on August 8th to allow community members to see what the campus has to offer. From 10 am to 2 pm, the public can tour the campus, meet instructors, view hands-on demonstrations and learn more about financial aid available for those who qualify.
    • Remington College - Houston Campus Offers New Cosmetology Program
      Houston, TX – (June 31, 2009) - Remington College-Houston Campus is now enrolling students for its new Cosmetology Diploma Program. The Cosmetology program teaches students the art of hair, skin and nail care through traditional classroom instruction and hands-on training in the 'The Salon at Remington', which allows students to work with real clients.
