We have four dental assisting instructors on staff, each with 11 or more years of direct experience as a dental assistant. They’ve worked in the field, know what the job is like, and bring their own experiences into their dental assisting classes.
Our Houston dental assistant program offers you hands-on practice in chair side dental assisting, diagnostics, dental radiology, front- and back-office skills, patient education, and more. You can develop your skills using the latest technologies and equipment: Our two Houston dental assistant training labs are replicas of actual dental offices and include dental chairs, X-ray equipment, and an area dedicated to training in procedures such as dental grinding and impressions.
You also have a chance to see what a working dental office or clinic is like, through our 160-hour externship. This experience gives you an opportunity to round out your training program, meet people in your field, work with them, and learn from them.(1)
Best of all, you can complete your program and earn your diploma in as few as eight months! Program completion enables you to sit for registration with the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners (TSBDE).
