The City of Houston will be at the center of the 'Go Texan Day' festivities on Friday, February 26, as the day kicks off the 2010 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™.
The Rodeo,' as it is called, is an annual three-week event drawing crowds to the city, providing entertainment that is uniquely Texan, and raising money for academic scholarships.
Remington College – Houston Southeast Campus will participate in the festivities by holding a campus-wide event on Thursday, February 25. During 'Go Texan Day' on campus, students, faculty, and staff will don their cowboy boots, hats, and other western wear and will crank up the country music for a rousing celebration. Of course, there will be a Texas-style menu of chili and frito pies, prepared by the campus staff for our students in both day and evening classes.
