    Remington College - Lafayette Campus Electronics Technician Program Overview

    The Lafayette Electronic Technology diploma program is taught in a multi-classroom/lab environment, with computers for each student.

    The following resources and equipment are available to you as a Lafayette electronics technician student:

    • Programmable logic controller (PLC) programming hardware, which is unique to our Lafayette Campus and a big plus if you're seeking a position with an oilfield service company.
    • Electronics Workbench circuit board design and simulation software.
    • Windows Operating system
    • Application software including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) and RSLogix 500 PLC programming software.
    • Computer hardware including HP Compaqs and NIDA Model 5050 PLC trainers.
