Dedicated Little Rock College Faculty and Staff
Our students’ Campus experiences are enriched by active support from our people on Campus. Here are just a few examples of how our staff in Little Rock stays involved:
- Our Campus President has an open-door policy, sits in on several classes, and attends Campus events.
- Our Director of Education also teaches, sits in on classes, attends monthly awards ceremonies, and meets individually with students.
- Our Medical Billing Coding and Pharmacy Technician Department Chairperson not only manages the department but also teaches, advises the NTHS group, and conducts the on-Campus Certified Coding Associate (CCA) exam review for graduates.
- Some of our Criminal Justice and Health Sciences instructors do more than just instruct: They also act as faculty advisors to the ACJA and NTHS, conduct in-service meetings for Admissions, conduct monthly Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) exam review sessions for graduates, help graduates research employment opportunities, and more.(1)
- Our Director of Student Finance and Director of Career Services ably assist students and graduates and conduct teaching/advisory sessions as well.
Unlike other large and impersonal academic institutions, at Remington College in Little Rock, you meet these people either on your Campus tour, at your orientation, or on your first day of classes. You can get to know them, and they can get to know you.
Little Rock College Community and Campus Activities
If you’re looking for extracurricular activities, on-Campus clubs and organizations like these are available for students in Little Rock to join:
- The American Criminal Justice Association (ACJA) Alpha Nu Zeta Chapter
- The National Technical Honor Society (NTHS)
Our students and staff enjoy giving back, too. They are eager to help raise awareness and funds for local organizations by participating in events like:
- American Red Cross Blood Drives – held four times a year.
- Be the Match Bone Marrow Registry Drives – held twice each year.
- Food Drive for iBelieve (at-risk youth) – held around Thanksgiving each year.
- Cupid Day for NTHS and ACJA – held on Valentine’s Day each year.
These events are well-planned by students, faculty, and staff and are open to all, including the general public in the surrounding communities of Pulaski County and central Arkansas.
Technical Training Programs at Little Rock
Our Little Rock Campus is proud to offer these career-focused degree and diploma programs:(1)
- Criminal Justice, which can help to prepare you for a potential career in security, loss prevention, correction, or even law enforcement administration.(1)
- Medical Assisting, which lets you learn and practice techniques like CPR and blood pressure monitoring.
- Medical Billing and Coding, in which you can get hands-on training in medical terminology and coding for medical billing and insurance purposes.
- Medical Assisting with X-Ray Tech (Limited Scope) and EKG, which can prepare you in the proper techniques for positioning patients and taking X-rays and EKGs.
- Pharmacy Technician, which can show you how to work hand in hand with pharmacists to help mix, measure, and dispense medications in retail, mail-order, or hospital pharmacies, assisted-living facilities, and more.(1)
