You’ll also study the science and business sides of cosmetology, giving you all-around preparation and a more thorough understanding of those key aspects of the field.

Our goal is for you to graduate with the tools you need to start working in your field once you earn your Texas cosmetology license.(1)

In addition to our four dedicated classrooms, our Cosmetology school program in Webster features a large, fully functioning student salon, right on Campus!

You’ll begin your salon training in the early phases of our 12-month diploma program.(2) Our student salon can accommodate up to 16 students at a time. Two instructors oversee students at all times, and up to 16 customers at a time can receive beauty services in the salon.

You’ll take turns in roles like receptionist, hairstylist, manicurist, esthetician, and make-up artist. It’s a great working environment to learn in!

  • Cosmetology competitions on Campus: These are held quarterly at our Houston Southeast Campus. Our “runway” event is a student favorite, because our cosmetologists-in-training get to give makeovers to other students and prepare them for a runway-style show and awards event.
  • Local hair shows: Students also get opportunities to volunteer at Houston-area hair shows sponsored by the Matrix company.
  • College-sponsored outreach services:Students love giving back to others through our College’s Cuts for Kids and Prom Night Makeover events, which offer complimentary haircutting, styling, and other services to kids, families, and young adults in our community who are preparing for school or for their high school prom.
  • Other charitable events: Complimentary Cosmetology services are also offered to local organizations for the benefit of those who may need a helping hand.

Program Summary
The Cosmetology Diploma Program provides training in various phases of cosmetology, including manicures, pedicures,
facials, and wig care.
The objective of this Program is to prepare graduates for entry-level positions as cosmetologists in work locations such as licensed beauty salons, day spas, or nail salons.
Program completion normally requires 48 weeks for full-time students.
The Cosmetology Diploma Program is divided into 12 monthly periods. The Cosmetology Diploma Program is also offered on an evening/weekend class schedule which consists of 12 six
- week modules. Program completion normally requires 72 weeks for full-time students. Students must successfully complete the academic periods with a minimum cumulative GPA
of 2.0 in order to be eligible to participate in the clinic practices.
Upon successful completion of all areas of this Program, graduates will be awarded a Diploma in Cosmetology.
