  • Remington College in Fort Worth Volunteers Over 1,000 Hours in January

The “Operation 1,000” volunteer drive at the Fort Worth Campus began in January of 2011, when students and employees at the Campus accepted a pledge to perform at least 1,000 hours of volunteer service in and around the Fort Worth area.

The Remington College - Fort Worth Campus is proud to announce that it has surpassed the 1,000-hour mark and has reached an impressive 1,318 combined hours of volunteer service for the months of January and February 2011.

Re-Enrollment Coordinator Sarah Nguyen commented, “To see the different aspects and types of volunteerism that our faculty, students, and staff have completed in this short time is very motivating and heartwarming.”

A wrap-up celebration for “Operation 1,000” took place at the Campus on Wednesday, March 2, 2011, and included cookies and punch for all students, faculty, and staff who helped in the effort by getting involved and donating their time.

Two gatherings were held, one for morning students and another for evening students, and participants took the opportunity to share their experiences over a few laughs, along with expressing their gratitude in being recognized for something they do every day.
