Remington College of Nursing - Orlando is offering an accelerated 12-month Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program for non-nursing graduates. This four-quarter program will begin in the winter quarter of January 2009. Students will progress through the curriculum taking the courses as they appear in the program plan. Following completion of the program, students will be eligible to take the NCLEX examination to become a registered nurse.
For those who have already attained a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a different field and are looking to enter the field of nursing, Remington College’s accelerated BSN program enables qualified applicants the opportunity to complete their degree in the shortest amount of time. We build on a student’s previous learning experiences, offering courses that are intense and focused on meeting programmatic objectives in the classroom, skills lab and in the clinical areas. Applicants must meet specific admission requirements and all prerequisite science courses must be completed prior to beginning the program. Because of their previous degree, many students have already met the arts and social science requirements needed for a baccalaureate degree.
Graduates of Remington College of Nursing – Orlando will have the potential for numerous employment opportunities in the health care field, including patient care, hospital administration, governmental agencies and in related health care industries. Graduates of our program also may choose to further their career, opting to return to school for a graduate degree in advance practice nursing, such as nurse practitioner and nurse educator. Regardless of the path taken, a BSN from Remington College of Nursing – Orlando is just the beginning of a new career in nursing!
