Park Place Elementary School wins Remington College “Adopt Our School” Vote
Students to receive $2,000 worth of school uniforms at April 20 presentation
The votes are in and Park Place Elementary school will receive $2,000 worth of school uniforms from Remington College - Houston Southeast Campus.
Park Place Elementary received the most votes in Remington College’s Adopt Our School program, an effort by Remington College to assist local public schools with up to $2,000 worth of school supplies. Nominations and voting were done online by the public.
The staff at Park Place Elementary has requested school uniforms and backpacks. More than 150 school uniforms will be presented to students and staff on Tuesday, April 20 at 2:00 p.m. Media is invited to cover the event. The school is located at 8235 Park Place Blvd. in Houston.
“We congratulate Park Place Elementary and can’t wait to deliver the items,” said Bob Doty, Remington College-Houston Southeast Campus President. “We know our local public schools budgets are very tight and hope this will be a big boost to the students and faculty.”

, Park Place Elementary principal. “Many of our students come from poverty, so the donation of uniforms and backpacks will be a real benefit to our students and their families.”
Remington College-Houston Southeast Campus will hold another Adopt Our School competition in the fall, with another $2,000 worth of school supplies for the winning school.
The Adopt Our School program is part of “Remington College Reaches Out,” a series of community initiatives and charitable efforts to mark the college’s 25th anniversary in 2010.
Based in Heathrow, Florida, Remington College offers diploma and degree programs at 20 campuses throughout the United States, including a new online campus. Its mission is to provide career-focused education through a variety of programs, including nursing, cosmetology, business office management and criminal justice.
