    Medical Assisting: Training that is a picture of good health.

    Medical Assistants are healthcare professionals who keep doctor’s offices, clinics, hospitals, and other medical practices moving by performing clinical and administrative tasks.

    Clinical responsibilities include taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and instructing patients on treatment procedures. Administrative duties include filing medical records, filling out patients’ insurance forms, and scheduling appointments.

  • Registered Phlebotomy Technician Certification (RPT)

    Registered Phlebotomy Technician (RPT)

    The RPT exam is provided by American Medical Technologists (AMT). AMT was established in 1939, and is a nationally recognized, nonprofit certification agency offering certifications in allied health care.

    Obtaining the RPT certification displays that you have received acceptable phlebotomy training.

    1. The application is available on the AMT website.
    2. Completed application, school transcripts, and application fee must be mailed to:

    4. Once AMT receives and approves your application, you will receive a letter with instructions on how to schedule your exam.
    5. Upon successful completion of the exam, AMT will send an official letter and certificate to you.

    Application fee: $83

    Medical Assisting with X-Ray Tech (Limited Scope) and EKG students who wish to take the exam, and have Remington College pay the application fee, must have completed the appropriate coursework, and apply to take the exam within 90 days of graduating from the program.
