Remington College - Columbia Campus Holds Grand Opening

(September x, 2009) - Columbia, SC – Remington College-Columbia Campus will hold a grand opening celebration on Thursday, September 24th.  The grand opening begins at 10:00 am, with a ribbon cutting set for 10:30 am.  

Tours of the campus will be available, and the public is welcome to attend.

“Our grand opening celebration is a chance for both prospective students and employers to see what our new campus has to offer,” said Toby Hayes, Campus President. “Our goal is to be a resource for people looking for career education and employers looking for entry-level workers.”

Remington College spent $2.6 million to turn a former Office Max building into a modern career college campus. Remington College-Columbia Campus is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC), which is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a national recognized accrediting agency.   

Remington College-Columbia Campus currently offers diploma programs in Medical Insurance and Coding, Medical Assisting and Cosmetology.

The Medical Insurance and Coding and Medical Assisting programs are designed to help prepare students for entry-level positions in the growing health care field.*

The Cosmetology program introduces students to the art of hair, skin and nail care through traditional classroom instruction and hands-on training in the "The Salon at Remington", which allows students the opportunity to work with real clients.

Classes are available during the day and night (select programs), allowing flexibility for people juggling work, school and family.
