Remington College of Nursing Holds First Graduation Ceremony

Heathrow, Fla. – (January 22, 2010) – Remington College of Nursing will hold its first graduation ceremony on Sunday, January 31st at 1:00 pm at the Wayne Densch Performing Arts Center in Sanford. The address is 201-203 S. Magnolia Ave.

Remington College of Nursing offers an accelerated 12-month Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program* designed for people who already have a bachelor of science or higher degree in a different field but want to make a career change and switch to the field of nursing.**

Classes are held on a brand new campus in Lake Mary. It features modern classrooms and a clinical simulation laboratory, which contains human patient simulators, mannequins and medical equipment. The goal is to simulate the same challenges in the classroom that students may face in a nursing environment.

Remington College of Nursing has developed relationships with more than a dozen health care facilities in the Orlando area to offer students clinical opportunities in addition to their classroom work, including the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, Nemours Clinics, South Seminole Hospital, Central Florida Medical Center, and area health departments.

'Our program is unique in that qualifying students who have a Bachelor of Science or Arts degree can earn their BSN degree in as few as 12 months,' said Karin Polifko, PhD, RN, NEA-BC, Vice President, Operations and Academic Affairs.

'Our program is for those individuals who are interested in changing their original career path and help them prepare to enter the health care workforce in the shortest time possible. While we cannot guarantee employment, all of us are acutely aware of the nursing shortage and our program provides graduates who, after passing the state licensure examination, can work as registered nurses in a variety of health care settings.”
