    Scholarships at Remington College in Baton Rouge, Lafayette, and Shreveport, Louisiana

    Our three Louisiana colleges may be spread across this great southern state, but they share one common goal: To help career-focused students afford and achieve a college education.(2)

    The Remington College Academic Achievement Scholarship, New Career Success Scholarship and Career Ready Scholarship programs were created to help you achieve that goal.

    If you qualify for one or more of these scholarships, the financial aid they provide can be used to help pay the tuition cost of a majority of the degree and diploma programs offered in Baton Rouge, Lafayette, and Shreveport, Louisiana.

    Louisiana Scholarship Requirements and Eligibility

    Below is a list of qualifications students need to satisfy in order to be eligible to receive either an Academic Achievement,  New Career Success Scholarship and Career Ready Scholarship.

    Career Ready Scholarship - To be eligible to receive this scholarship, an Applicant must:

    • Be a civil servant, first responder, law enforcement officer, active military, reservist or a government agency employee.
    • Provide proof of employment from an approved agency at enrollment or at re-enrollment/re-entry and upon completion of the program.
    • Must enroll in a Remington College criminal justice program.
    • Have submitted a Career Ready Scholarship application prior to enrollment.

    Academic Achievement Scholarship - To be eligible to receive this merit-based scholarship, an Applicant must:

    • Have graduated high school in 2008 or later.
    • Provide a high school transcript that reflects a cumulative high school Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.00 or higher (on a 4.0 scale).
    • Be seeking first-time enrollment, as a new student, in an eligible program at Remington College - Baton Rouge, Lafayette, or Shreveport Campuses.
    • Successfully complete the Academic Achievement Scholarship Application and submit it to the Financial Aid Department at Remington College - Baton Rouge, Lafayette, or Shreveport Campuses.

    New Career Success Scholarship -To be eligible to receive this need-based scholarship, an Applicant must:

    • Have a total income as reflected on his/her Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR) that is less than or equal to the Median Family Income in Louisiana. The Median Family Income is obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau's most recent published information.
    • Be seeking first-time enrollment, as a new student, in an eligible program at Remington College - Baton Rouge, Lafayette, or Shreveport Campuses.
    • Successfully complete the New Career Success Scholarship Application and submit it to the Financial Aid Department at Remington College - Baton Rouge, Lafayette, or Shreveport Campuses.
