    • Community Service Event in Honor of Constitution Month
      In keeping with the theme of Constitution Month, and with the date for Louisiana's state elections quickly approaching, our Remington College – Shreveport Campus hosted a pep rally on September 22, 2011.
    • Students Serve Those Who Have Served Our Country
      Shreveport Campus Business Office Management students Natasha Bell, Donna Porterfield, and Jenny Pierson have begun offering weekly volunteer services at the Overton Brooks VA Medical Center (VAMC), in northwestern Louisiana, inspired by a visit from Madelyn Mirador, Director of Volunteer Services at the Center.

    • Shreveport College Helps Community Seniors Cool Off
      In an effort to help our local elderly population stay cool, students from our Shreveport Criminal Justice associate's degree and Business Office Management associate's degree programs decided to contact a local news station, KSLA, to get information on how our Shreveport college could participate in the station's fan drive.

    • Honor Society Offer Tutorials for GED Students
      National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) members at Remington College - Shreveport Campus understand the value of their education and the importance of giving back. Some NTHS members have begun to offer weekly GED tutorials for students enrolled in the Ability-To-Benefit, or ATB, program.

      Shreveport Campus's Commitment to Blood Donation Starts with Its Campus President. Since 2010, Remington College has partnered with America's Blood Centers and the Sickle Cell Disease Association of America to hold blood drives at every Remington College campus.
    • Bags Not Rags Effort at Shreveport
      Recently, several National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) members at our Shreveport Campus began collaborating with a local organization to collect suitcases, duffel bags, and backpacks for foster children in an effort to ensure that uprooted children never have to carry their belongings in trash bags again.

      Remington College – Shreveport Campus held its first annual African American Read-In on February 28, 2011, at the Hamilton/South Caddo Public Library. Shreveport Campus Librarian Kristi Kohl organized the event in conjunction with Black History Month.
