Hands-On Electronics Technician Training in Shreveport-Bossier City
Our Shreveport-Bossier City area campus has three classrooms dedicated to the Electronic Technology program, with one classroom doing double duty as a classroom and lab.
Our electronics/computer technology students have access to the student computers in the Campus Library as well as multiple computers, microwaves, robotics, and other items that they build and take apart as part of their hands-on learning in various courses.
A+ and ISCET readiness software, accompanying books/CDs, and an electronics kit valued at $250 are also available to each student and included in the cost of tuition.

Shreveport Electronics School Program Connected to the Community
In addition to sharing their years of in-field experience, our Electronic Technology instructors often use their industry and community connections to enhance our students’ educational experience by:
- Bringing in guest speakers.
- Coordinating field trips.
- Planning volunteer activities.
- And more.
Our electronics program at Shreveport has open invitations to visit several different types of electronics/computer technology facilities in the Shreveport-Bossier City area. Students’ extracurricular activities have included visits to the National Weather Service, local TV stations, and more.
Shreveport-Bossier City Business Guest Speakers and Field Trips
Several business owners who belong to local electronics/computer technology organizations, or have relevant certifications, have visited our Campus as guest speakers. They meet regularly with us to offer feedback on our program objectives, coursework, equipment, facilities, and career outlook.
To lend a hand in the community, our electronics students have helped with the Shriners’ Pop Tops charity, Shreveport Food Bank donation drives, and Operation Santa Clause for our Caddo and Bossier Parishes.
