St. Helena Central High School wins Remington College “Adopt Our School” Vote
The votes are in and St. Helena Central High School will receive $2,000 worth of school supplies from Remington College - Baton Rouge Campus. St. Helena Central High School received the most votes in Remington College’s Adopt Our School program, an effort by Remington College to assist local public schools with up to $2,000 worth of school supplies.
Nominations and voting were done online by the public. The staff at St. Helena Central High School has requested school supplies, including 100 copies of Merriam-Webster’s Dictionary and Thesaurus, 30 calculators, 20 protractors, staplers, index cards, flash drives, file folders, markers, pencil sharpeners and more.
The school supplies will be delivered on Friday, May 21 at 10:00 a.m. The school is located at 14340 Highway 37 in Greensburg. Media are welcome to cover the event. “We congratulate St. Helena Central High School and can’t wait to deliver the school supplies,” said Mike Smith, Remington College-Baton Rouge Campus President.
“We know our local public schools budgets are very tight and hope this will be a big boost to the students and faculty.” Remington College-Baton Rouge will hold another Adopt Our School competition in the fall, with another $2,000 worth of school supplies for the winning school.
