Tampa Bay Technical School

The mission of Remington College – Tampa Campus (formerly known as Tampa Technical Institute) is to educate and help prepare graduates for a brighter future in the working world and to help meet the staffing needs of local businesses.

Hands-On Skills Training

As a Tampa technical college, we’ve trained many exceptional graduates. Our goal continues to be to provide the type of hands-on skills training that’s in demand by employers. To accomplish this, we’ve developed relationships with several local employers and regularly welcome their input to ensure that our training is not only relevant, but also sought after in today’s demanding business world. Local employers visit us to experience our Campus first-hand, including our programs, facilities, teaching methods, and services.

Throughout the Campus, our dedication to educating students is evident. In fact, students and visitors often comment that our genuine desire to help students achieve success is what helps us to stand out among career colleges in the Tampa area.

During a typical day, a walk through our Campus corridors might reveal Pharmacy Technician students learning about prescription medications and how to dispense them, Electronic Technology students soldering circuit boards, Medical Assisting students learning some of the skills needed to help operate a clinic, and Computer and Network Administration students creating local area networks.

Community Outreach

Remington College – Tampa Campus also believes in giving back to the local community and does so in several ways, including the following:

  • Our Allied Health students are involved in health fairs in the adjacent communities, and they assist the Red Cross with volunteer work.

  • One of our most popular monthly activities is called the "Taste of the World,” in which our multiethnic students and staff members bring in a food representing their culture for all to enjoy.

  • Our Information Technology students collect used, donated computer equipment, refurbish the equipment, and supply it to a local company that donates the computers to individuals in need.

  • The Campus also hosts quarterly career fairs that are open to the public, and we frequently participate in blood drives.

There is definitely a lot going on at the Tampa Campus! Please visit us soon for a first-hand look.
