Ours is more than just a hair school or beauty school. Since 2008 we’ve offered training in the art, science, and business of cosmetology, the chance to work with real clients in a fully equipped student salon, and an opportunity to study with experienced instructors.

We have four Cosmetology classrooms at our Lafayette Campus, plus a modern student salon environment where our students can practice their learned skills later in the program.

Our cosmetology classes use BaByliss® thermal tools, Matrix® products along with the Matrix CRAFT® system, and products from industry leaders like Design Essentials®, Pevonia®, Burmax Cuccio®, and more.

Our students enjoy the haircutting and hair-coloring classes because of the experience they receive in cutting and coloring techniques and the fact that they can see immediate results.

About 20 Lafayette cosmetology school students at a time can work in the salon area, along with two students in the facial area, two at the pedicure stations, one in the make-up area, and four at the manicure stations. An instructor oversees the student salon at all times, along with other available staff. The setting can accommodate up to 29 clients.

Students work with clients just as they would in a real salon, providing services like haircuts, styles, manicures, pedicures, facials, waxes, and chemical services such as hair coloring, relaxers, and permanent waves.

They also have a chance to earn recognition for their hard work in the form of awards like Student of the Week, Most Professional Student, and Student of the Month, which are presented during our weekly Cosmetology Department assemblies.
