Congratulations Remington College graduating class of 2019, your hard work and dedication to your academic success has led you to this commencement ceremony, where we will recognize your commitment and provide some final thoughts before you take the next step in your career journey. We will begin this commencement by paying tribute to our country through the signing of our national anthem by Remington College Retention Support Manager, Sarah Campbell.
Please take a moment to view a special message to our graduates from Greg Marrujo, Director of Campus Administration for the Online Division at Remington College. Prior to serving in his current role, Greg helped online students become familiar with the admissions process and guided them towards an educational path that would match their career goals as Director of Admissions for the Online Division. Greg has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Robert Morris University in Illinois.
Staff of the Year
Joshua Bowers is the Supervisor of the Student Success Coordinators and is the primary Student Success Coordinator for Remington College Online and Memphis. Joshua has a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Tennessee in Psychology, and he is currently working on obtaining his Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology at the University of Tennessee. For the past year and a half, Joshua has served as a point of contact and support for Remington College students starting at the enrollment process through the entirety of the program. His job includes locating social service resources, addressing questions and concerns, and providing any additional support a student may need. Joshua’s goal as a member of Remington College is to ensure all students are as successful as possible in achieving their academic goals and working towards their future professional endeavors.
The faculty and staff at Remington College would like to recognize Martha Brown as our 2019 Remington College Online Valedictorian! Graduating with a diploma in Medical Office Administration, Martha maintained a 4.0, all while balancing family and work responsibilities. Currently residing in Greenville, TX, Martha credits her family as her source of inspiration for obtaining her diploma and is thankful to her four children for their encouragement and believing in her from start to finish. Martha is employed in the medical billing and boding field, and plans on using her diploma to pursue additional career opportunities as well as become CMA certified. To her fellow graduates and those still pursuing their educational goals, she has this advice: “Go for it. Get up and go for it. I turn 58 in a few days and if I can do it anybody can!” Congratulations Martha on a job well done from all of your friends at Remington College Online.
Our Salutatorian for the 2019 Remington College Virtual Commencement is Victoria Wilson, a graduate of the Medical Office Administration Diploma program. We are proud to recognize Victoria’s efforts in achieving a 3.86 Grade Point Average as well as her dedication to pursuing her career goals. A current resident of Logansport, Louisiana, now that Victoria has graduated she is looking to pursue a career in the medical office administration field with the help of our Career Services team. Victoria credits the bible as her source of inspiration and her message to her classmates is: “Keep God first and you will do marvelously.” According to Victoria, she really hit her stride during the 8th month of her program. Victoria would like to thank Ms. Catherine Price, Ms. April Thomas, Ms. Katie Carraway, and Ms. Jennifer Rhodes for all of their support throughout her educational journey. We wish Victoria the best of luck in the pursuit of her new career in the medical field!
Our 2019 Commencement Speaker is Chandra Johnson, Director of Education and Academic Dean of the Remington College Online program. Chandra earned a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership and Professional Practice from Trevecca Nazarene University, a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Tennessee, and a Bachelor’s Degree from Austin Peay State University. Her goal as a member of the Remington College online team is to provide strategic, intellectual and administrative leadership for all academic online programs to ensure the college achieves increasingly higher levels of academic excellence and recognition for online as well as on-ground programs.

As our ceremony comes to a close today, we would like to take one final moment to send our sincere gratitude to the students who have dedicated so much time and energy into achieving their goals. We know that you have many options when it comes to choosing where you earn your degree or diploma, and it means a lot to us that you have chosen Remington College and that you have succeeded in achieving your goals. The responsibility of delivering a quality education that prepares our students for the real world is not one that we take lightly. We will continue to try and improve and grow for those students who follow in your footsteps. Please know that our relationship does not end with today’s graduation. As an alumni of Remington College you will always have access to the support services and connections that may help you navigate your career path.
