The Criminal Justice Experience
at Remington College in Cleveland, OH

Remington College’s Criminal Justice Associate Degree course work focuses on details of law enforcement, including constitutional law, criminal investigation and evidence processing, communications for the criminal justice professional, and security management.

During our 18 month program, you’ll have multiple opportunities to train in simulated real-world criminal justice settings.

Laboratory work includes fingerprint analysis and blood spatter detection. You’ll also be trained in current industry-standard equipment, including microscopes and fingerprinting kits.

The Criminal Justice Associate’s Degree Program provides training in components of the criminal justice system, correctional systems, and security management. The curriculum also covers the basics of criminal law, crime scene processing, forensic science, law enforcement operations and ethics. The objective of this Program is to prepare graduates for entry-level positions, such as corrections, loss prevention, and security. This Program requires completion of a minimum of 92 credit hours, including any transfer credits that have been accepted. Program completion normally requires 18 months for full-time students.*

People seeking a criminal justice career should generally have strong writing skills because they are required to prepare many reports. Also helpful are excellent listening and communication skills to work effectively with offenders.
