Most of us have probably been there'we're toiling away in the kitchen, scanning the recipe for the next direction while the timer is beeping in the background wondering'am I even doing this right?
In those moments, you might have thought about taking a cooking class. A cooking class can not only help you practice some fundamental skills, it can be a lot of fun. Now imagine adding in a special ingredient'one of your favorite reality celebrities.
That's exactly what Remington College Memphis Campus is serving up this month. If you're looking for fun things to do in Memphis, mark your calendar for August 22.
Remington College's Culinary Training Center is partnering with best-selling author, entrepreneur and restauranteur Kathy Wakile for a special community cooking class in Memphis. The 'Eat Live Love INDULGE with Kathy Wakile 'Real Kitchen' Cooking Class' will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 22 at Remington College Memphis Campus, 2710 Nonconnah Blvd., Memphis.
The class will focus on how to make summer desserts, with Wakile herself as the teacher. Wakile has deep experience in the field. She started the INDULGE by Kathy Wakile line, selling cannoli kits and specialty coffee. She also wrote a cookbook, which focuses on bite-sized treats, and owns a restaurant, Pizza Love, in New Jersey.
The class is open to the public. In addition to walking away with Wakile's tips and tricks, attendees will also leave with a signed copy of Wakile's book. Cost for the experience is $150, and space is limited. Those interested in this event in Memphis can register here.
